Women’s Knife Making
Come make a fixed blade knife using hand forged and hammered Kellam knife blade in the community of other women. Oct 5th – 6 pm to 8 pm., Oct 6th – 9 am to early evening, Oct 7th – 10 am to early afternoon. Tuition: $165.

Nature Based Mentoring Apprenticeships and Custom Adult Programs Available
(Personal Development/ Hunt Mentoring and energy work)

Apprenticeships

Way of the Wild is  offering the Colorado community an opportunity to enrich and deepen their skills of:

  • Mentoring children to re-connect with nature
  • Earth-based living skills
  • Developing a spiritual relationship with the Earth

This 12 week program offers skills and application intensive plus field experience. You will be joining Mary and/or Simon during their programs to gain hands-on experience working with children.

This program is ideal for those looking to further their own connections with and skills working in nature and also those interested in inspiring children to re-connect with nature.

Earth-based Skills will include: Primitive fire, wild edibles, shelter, bird language, navigation, tracking, tools, water, awareness, baskets, hunting, pottery, archery, ceremony, awareness/scout skills and much more.

Mentoring skills will include: Re-connecting children to nature, structuring programs, structuring nature experiences.

Apprentice Program Structure:

  • 12 week program (94 hours total)
  • Meet for 4.5 hours once a week for skills and mentoring training (54 hours instruction), Sundays 1-5:30pm
  • 40 hours Field Time
  • Culminating overnight experience

Apprentice Program Cost: $1000 (Some work trade considered)
